10 Natural Skin Remedies We Can't Live Without

When it comes to skin issues, we certainly operate with empathy and compassion.

We also choose natural solutions as often as possible!

There are so many solutions on the market for treating skin issues, serums, pills, masks, and creams, but most result in overly dried out and increasingly irritated skin.

Natural acne remedies work the best, especially on sensitive, acne-prone skin.

This list contains remedies that heal acne scars and blemishes and get at the root of the cause. They have antibacterial properties that cleanse the skin, as well as anti-inflammatory properties, and antioxidants that kill free radicals and encourage new skin growth.

1. Baking Soda

  • Reduce acne

  • Brighten skin

  • Reduce redness & swelling

  • Prevent the buildup of bacteria

  • Balance your skin’s pH

  • Encourage new skin growth

Mix baking soda with water to create a paste, or simply rub it into your skin like you would using a face wash, and then rinse it off.

2. Honey

  • Nourish damaged skin

  • Cleanse your pores

  • Hydrate your Skin

  • Soothe and heal blemishes

Apply a thin layer of honey to clean, dry skin for fifteen minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

3. Tea Tree Oil & Witch Hazel

  • Cleanse your skin from harmful bacteria

  • Calm redness, swelling, and inflammation

  • Tighten pores

Tea tree oil and witch hazel can still dry out your skin, so be careful not to overuse it and try to stay out of the sun if you apply it to your face.

Blend a few drops of tea tree oil with 20 to 40 drops of witch hazel to dilute it and use it on your face, one to two times a day.

4. Turmeric

  • Fade blemishes

  • Enliven your natural glow and luster

Make a paste with 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder and ¼ cup water and apply it to your face, leaving it for five minutes.

5. Oatmeal

  • Reduce swelling

  • Exfoliate naturally

  • Cleanse your skin

  • Treat Oily skin

You can mix it with water, honey, or an oil of your choice, and apply it to your skin for glowing results.

6. Aloe Vera

  • Heal acne

  • Cure acne scars

  • Cleans Skin

  • Reduce redness and swelling

Leave the gel on overnight to detox your skin and improve blood circulation.

7. Apple Cider Vinegar

  • Normalize your skin's pH level

  • Cleanse skin

Mix it with water to create a toner (use a higher ratio of water if you have sensitive skin) and apply it with a cotton pad to a clean face.

8. Egg Whites

  • Tone your skin

  • Cleanse your skin

  • Treat Oily Skin

  • Prevent irritation and inflammation

  • Heal and soothe your skin

9. Jojoba Oil

  • Cleanse your skin

  • Treat Acne, eczema, and psoriasis

  • Moisturize your skin

Place a small amount onto your fingertips or a soft cotton pad and rub gently on your face.

If you have sensitive skin, always test the remedy first on a small area of skin. Everyone is different and just because something works for one person doesn’t mean it will work for someone else.
